At this year’s 54th Annual National Leadership and Skills Conference, Pella Corporation joined Fine Homebuilding and its industry partners in the service of a great cause—collectively awarding $70,000 in scholarship money to students entering the trades as part of the #KeepCraftAlive initiative.
At the event, which took place on June 28th at the Kentucky Exposition Center in Louisville, KY, 28 students each took home a $2500 scholarship to help them continue their education toward joining the trades, in programs ranging from carpentry to masonry and everything in between.
“Pella really is dedicated to trying to find solutions to bring more people into the trades, and making them feel proud about what they’re doing within those jobs,” says Emily Videtto, Chief Marketing Officer for Pella Corporation. “We just need to elevate and build more awareness around what those opportunities are. We were really excited to partner with #KeepCraftAlive.”
