To anyone who has been paying attention to Fine Homebuilding and the professional side of the residential building scene over the past twenty five years, Myron Ferguson needs no introduction. To those how haven’t, Myron exemplifies what the KeepCraftAlive movement is all about. As a 4th generation tradesman, Myron has building in his blood. As a drywall contractor, he has continued to explore and push the boundaries of his craft in a relentless effort to improve his process and his finished results. That’s the hallmark of any craftsmen.
For years, Myron has taken his decades of wisdom and utilized it to teach other professionals new and proven skills. Most recently, he traveled to the small island of Sitka, Alaska to meet with a crew that he’s influenced from afar through the books that he has written and the articles he has produced for Fine homebuilding. This wasn’t just a seminar on best practices, though. Myron was there to bring the message of KeepCraftAlive to the heart of the men and women who make their living in the community through the trades. You can watch his full talk, here.
