On Giving Tuesday Fine Homebuilding is launching its latest collaboration to support its KeepCraftAlive scholarship program with SkillsUSA. In partnership with Truewerk, Fine Homebuilding is celebrating the craft, teaching and humanity of the late longtime contributor Larry Haun with the release of the S4Haun Vest.
“A core tenet of Fine Homebuilding’s KeepCraftAlive program is to celebrate those who bring an abundance of pride and respect to their trade.” said founding executive director Rob Yagid. “Truewerk shares that ethos, and Larry Haun embodied those values in every way. There is a deep reverence for the hard work and the talented community that connects us, and to see that connection expressed in the S4 Haun vest is something we’re very excited about and very proud to be a part of. We’re incredibly grateful for the support of Larry’s family and inspired by the entire Truewerk team as we lean into our mission and 2022 fundraising efforts.”

Truewerk will be allocating 20% of every vest within the limited-edition release directly to the KeepCraftAlive Scholarship. Since 2017, Fine Homebuilding has provided nearly a quarter of a million dollars in trade education scholarships through KeepCraftAlive and is poised to fund another round of disbursement in 2022.
“SkillsUSA is so fortunate to have the ongoing support of innovative partners like Fine Homebuilding as we empower our members to become world-class workers, leaders and responsible citizens,” said SkillsUSA Executive Director Chelle Travis. “Their collaboration with Truewerk in this Giving Tuesday effort to support the #KeepCraftAlive scholarships will help many SkillsUSA students continue their education as they work to secure America’s future skilled workforce in the construction trades. SkillsUSA is a steadily growing talent pipeline and skills gap solution, but we could not accomplish our mission without the support of partners like Fine Homebuilding.”
