For the second year in a row, Fine Homebuilding teamed up with Trade Craft Industries to bring their #KeepCraftAlive professional development event to the booming Denver building market. The event, which included a networking session for area contractors and designers, was anchored by a panel discussion titled “Redefining Craftsmanship & Quality in Home Building.” Hosted by Fine Homebuilding editorial director, Justin Fink, the event brought together Brand Ambassadors and building experts from Denver and across the country to explore what craftsmanship actually means in an era of climate change, severe weather patterns, advanced learnings in building science, endless design inspiration, and countless material options.
“Our hope is that people who attended the event left empowered with ideas, lessons and strategies that will help them build to a higher standard,” said Keep Craft Alive Executive Director Rob Yagid. “Trade Craft is the perfect forum to have these progressive conversations. As builders search to differentiate themselves in a competitive building environment, it’s important that we create opportunities for shared learning in order to advance the methods we all employ to build better homes.”
The event, sponsored by Pella, CertainTeed, Tradecraft Industries, and Schluter, tapped the professional experience of high-performance architect Steve Baczek, Jancie and Kelly Stitzer of CIG construction, and Shane Hoefoer, CEO of Rocky Mountain Forest Products.
